Northern Plastics, Inc. offers a wide variety of secondary operations to suit your specific needs. Our trimming options include saw cutting, drilling, hand routing, die cutting and five axis CNC routing. Other secondary operations include assembly, bonding and sonic welding.
Five Axis CNC Routing
Over the years Northern Plastics, Inc. has kept current with advancing technologies. Our Thermwood CNC machines allow for increased production and consistent accuracy.
CNC Plastics Routing and Machining capabilities include our Thermwood 5 Axis Dual Table with a maximum bed size of 5 ft. X 5 ft. and Thermwood 5 Axis machining with a maximum bed size of 5 ft. X 10 ft.
Materials include, but not limited to ABS, Polyethylene, Polyropylene, Noryl®, Kydex®, PETG, Polystyrene, HIPS, ABSPC, TPO, ASA & FDA approved materials.
Die cutting provides a clean cut edge to either formed or unformed parts with a lower tooling cost than other methods. We provide die cutting services with our hydraulic presses that have capabilities up to 75 tons. Dies can be custom made to your exact specifications.
Our adhesive bonding system allows for the structural bonding of nearly all thermoplastics, metals and composite materials. A key benefit of the adhesive is the ability to provide an extremely durable bond with little or no surface preparation.
